The 6th day

Some people just have to learn.

I really don’t get it why they brought their children to hospital; let them running and making noises here and there while the patients here [especially my mom] seriously needed to rest. They never scold their children.

Just like today, I’ve warned two boys next bed several times and they still make noises wtf. Their mom was here for some sort of medical check up I think [as I heard some of their conversation. LOUD, okay?] Guess what they did in the room? First, the mother told the two boys to talk softly because the aunty next bed is very ill [she meant my mom]. I felt so much better after hearing this but…I was wrong. The mother started to teach her boys to do homeworks, and asked them to do reading IN HOSPITAL, something like ‘When the spring is stretched it becomes longer’ stuffs. A few hours later, the mother fell asleep on the bed, left the two boys making fun with pulling the curtains, turn the TV on and off, giggling and talking loudly, open and close the washroom door.

These two boys even squatted down to see what we’re doing behind the curtains. I looked at them, they looked at me with that kind of naughty smiles. I then asked: ‘Do you want me to ask missy (nurse) to come?’ They then quickly ran away with their super noisy slippers. The problem is, their mother never care about it and made my mom couldnt sleep for the whole afternoon.

ARGHHH.

I then ask Mr. K to check whether there’s single bedroom available and we are here now. So nice lah. My dad actually asked for single bedroom at the beginning but too bad it was full that time. We only get shared room with two beds. The past few days were fine but not today. Sigh.

One more thing, not only kids but adults too, talking loudly in groups or on phone at the corridor. What I meant by ‘loud’ is really LOUD. This is the bad thing in private hospital. The nurses wouldn’t bother about matters like this. Swt. Until I couldn’t stand it and open the door to SHH at them. Gosh..

Anyway, transfered to single bedroom already. Hope these won’t happen again so that my mom can rest well. Of course, there’ll not be things like ‘new’ patient coming in at 3am (that’s really shitty I tell you) and these people loved peeping people sleeping until I had to wake up to pull the curtain over. ZZZ. Interesting isn’t it?

Well…that’s all for now. Guess I’ve to stay here for a few more days. Woot.

The hospital

Tonight would be my second night spent in Normah with my mom. Now I know hospital isn’t a fun place to go, and it’s really freezing cold somemore. Cold until I couldn’t fall asleep at night with freezing fingers and feet. You might ask why I didn’t put on more clothes. Gosh, I was wearing two shirts, two jackets and socks. I couldn’t stand the cold anymore and walked down to the emergency entrance. The Mr. Guard talked to me as he thought I was waiting for someone. We then chit-chatted for awhile before I went back to my mom’s unit again.

I’m now wearing thicker jacket and thicker socks. Swt.

Don’t ask me what happened to my mom as I’ve been so lazy to explain. Just pray for her =D

The ‘ginger fish porridge’ prepared by my aunt for my mother. Too bad my mom lost her appetite [since quite awhile ago]. It tastes really nice!

I don’t know how many nights my mom has to stay here. I just hope there’s no patient coming in so that I can sleep on the bed next to my mom’s tonight…T_T

Happy Wesak Day

Happy [belated] Wesak Day everyone!

Long time no blog (a proper one *ahem*). Sorry that I’ve removed the previous entry regarding sexual harassment. However, I hope some of you [who have read the post] will take the lesson.

There was a parade in Kuching town for Wesak Day. My dad and sis joined the parade for 普觉佛堂, a buddhist temple just near to Swinburne campus. It is a long story on how Mr. K and my sister found out this temple which hides in the lorong. I prayed for the first and also the second ’slips’ [in my life] for my mom there asking about her health. Well, the results gave us goosebumps, then hopes and confidence.

Since then, my family visit the temple frequently. Every 1st and 15th of the month in lunar calendar. Sometimes, I bring my mom to the temple and recite the Buddhist scripture there. [I’m still very noob in it T_T]

Some of you might ask why I did not join the parade like my dad and sister did. There is only one reason actually - I have weak stamina. Swt. So, Mr. K and I were somewhere at Padungan watching the parade floats and took some pictures. [SOME only, cuz camera went low batt after that swt.]

I finally saw my dad and sister at Padungan. Here comes the unexpected thing. I joined the parade with Mr.K, with short pants and high heels. Mr.K and I walked from Jalan Padungan - Jalan Green Hill - Jalan Wayang - Jalan Mcdougall - Jalan Tabuan - Jalan Ban Hock - Jalan Song Thian Cheok. We stopped somewhere at old Upwell building cuz we parked the car at Tun Jugah building lol.

I didn’t know I could walk this far with my so-called weak stamina, and high heels. Oh man.

师兄was so nice to get us lotus flower candles while everyone was on the way.

It was really good experience, which makes me felt so calm.
