The Day 1

The feeling is so good! Happy moo moo year everyone!

Went to Guang Long Gong temple at Batu Kawa in the morning. My grandparents’ place was next after that. So crowded with 10 or more families "squeezing" in the house. I love it, ha!

Sis, mom, I.

A very Green post

I planned to tidy up some of my used-now-left-unused papers which accumulated since I moved to this house; since end of my Foundation year.

I do not like to waste papers and it’s not because I’m a green person. I just love and appreciate them pieces by pieces. [It doesn’t mean I love trees too URGHH] I’ve got these habits since I-don’t-know when: I always print my lecture or whatever notes both sides of the paper, and, I’ll keep and re-use those only printed on one side.

I actually wanted to send all those papers to recycle before I found out there are still a lot of papers have only been printed on one side. Well, I tidied them up by taking out those still can be used and left those both-sides-used in the box. [I actually gave up 3/4 way cuz there are too manayyyyyyyyy]

I used to print my lecture notes Chapter 1 at side A and Chapter 2 starts at side B of the last paper used for Chapter 1 and so on. Get it? I know this is complicated LOL. Lotsa people do not understand the sequence of my notes.

For the students out there, please print your notes both sides and do re-use/recycle papers! I know it may looks untidy but you do not need to be so tidy to pass or score. LOL!

Chinese New Year Countdown: 5 days

Is this the longest title I ever had? Lol.

I know my blog has been lacked of update. Since the result publication, I’ve no interesting stuffs to mention about. :(

However, I’ve watched these movies lately:

(a) Dejavu - Rating: 4.5/5 - The story line is so new to me [somehow a bit complicated. Got to do with the timelines thingie.] and I just couldn’t stop watching to know how the story ends!
(b) I, Robot - Rating: 4/5 - ALL TIME FAVOURITE!
(c) Ip Man - Rating: 3.9/5 - Yes I watched it twice and this is rare! Donnie Yen is so hot!
(d) Mimic - Rating: 3/5 - It’s about a genetically created insects destroy the mankind.
(e) MIB - Rating: 2.9/5 - I watched it because of Will Smith. (I actually watch all the movies my Honey had downloaded.)
(f) The Invasion - Rating: 2.5/5 - Okayy lahh. I thought aliens are clever enough to differentiate the humans who are not ‘invaded’. May be like….through the smells or..hmm..

*Obviously the ratings are just for fun. Honestly, I’ve no idea how to rate these movies and it’s hard! Anyway, I’m not being a good role model here cuz I watched downloaded movies, lol.*

CNY is just around the corner and many places are getting crowded these days. So how’s your preparation going on? I’ve done nothing much but just bought something like mandarin oranges, biscuits [ops I start eating it already lol], keropoks, acar and red wine for my dad. Sad to say that I haven’t join in any cleaning or decoration activities. *tsk tsk tsk*

Lanterns at my house. Taken by my sis.

Mom was doing some handcrafts - mandarin oranges. Now you know how ‘creative’ my family is. We just enjoy doing these boring stuffs HAHA.

Mandarin orangesssss nyum nyummm. Don’t you just love them?? Especially the mini one!!!!!

WOOOTTT!!! This is so syok! Cost me nearly MYR400 *gasps*.

Finish blogging! Coming up next - Barack Obama’s inauguration!

Kuching Flood

Kuching experienced flood almost every end of the year. Not to surprise that most of the kuchingnites get used to it already. As for me, it simply tells that Chinese New Year is near, lol.

It has been raining continuously for 2-3 days with no signs of getting smaller. People start saying THIS place and THAT place are affected by the flood. Kheng’s aunt and two cousins came to his house early in the morning. Yes, you’re right, the water goes into their house.

The flood makes me recalled back the most serious flood in Kuching back in year 2003, when I was in Form 2. It was a very unique Chinese New Year I would say, where I [and my other family members] actually trapped in Batu Kawa for days and couldn’t go home due to the flood. I helped my cousins to carry the groceries at the shop to the first floor to avoid soaking in the water. And also, swept off the waters that came into the shop. We cleaned the floor that full of disgusting muds as well as the shelves once the flood water had gone. The place we stayed was not as serious as the shophouses far near the river where those people actually moved to other places. Of course, not to forget to have a little fun with the dirty flood water, LOL.

It was a long story and the memories are permanant. Essay with the title ‘Flood’ is no longer a tough one to me. At least I can really write something without referring to reference book where the stories are actually built up.

Think again, had you ever seen someone was trying to rescue his mother: with placing the old one in a floating basin on the water and pushing it slowly to somewhere higher ground?

Some pictures I took today. You figure out the places yourself lol. Some anonymouses asked me to tell the places so check it out.

In front of the shoplots, somewhere at Tabuan Laru.

Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, opposite Kuching Buddhist Society.

Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho/ Jalan Tong Wei Tah (If I’m not mistaken)

Jalan Batu Kawa, opposite MJC New Township.

Obviously, Batu Kawa.

A good news, the rain actually stops for awhile after I finish writing this entry. :D

Quick update 12/1: Not so much rain today. Some places are getting better but the water get stucked at some places. The tide level doesn’t seem to go down. What I know is Batu Kawa now has got no electricity supply at the moment. Boats are now the major travel transports, RM10 per ride is what I heard for those who want to travel "down" from Batu Kawa, lol.

Oh my hair

So the very can’t wait to see my new hair? lol.

I don’t know why they just love to give me fringe look, swt. My mom said it looks like dog bitten; some said look cute; some said I look 10 years younger. :O

As I asked for something different, and it does look different now. I actually dyed dark brown and it’s not that visible in the pictures. Yeah I want it to be not-so-visible. Gg.

Left shows when my hair tied; mind me for the naked skin of the right one. ~_~

Something random to mention here, my stomach has not been doing good these days. Some sort of gas or wtf it is, just making me dizzy and even having headache. Undescribable discomfort. Urghh. :( Oh ya, I do ask for bigger portions lately. Is this the source? LOL.

One more thing, the fcking result is gonna publish soon. Wish me luck and I wish you back LOL!

None

Pathetically no updates after New Year, swt.

What am I up to? I was ill then; doing whatever things that my lecturer had passed down to me; helping my mom to do THIS and THAT; and of course shopping for CNY. :)

Ip Man 葉問, this movie surprised me a lot as it was really over my expectation. Regretted that I didn’t watch it in cineplex [but DVD, ops]. Someone told me it’s the best movie he ever watched in year 2008. It might sound exaggerating to some of you, but I’m really kinda agree with him.

Okay that’s all. Surprise comes tomorrow. :)
